12.07 Notice of Proposed Bylaws Amendment

NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE BYLAWS OF

THE SAN FRANCISCO COMMISSION ON THE ENVIRONMENT

TO BE ACTED UPON AT THE MEETING OF DECEMBER 7, 2010 AT

CITY HALL, ROOM 408, SAN FRANCISCO, CA  94102

 

 

This notice is issued pursuant to San Francisco Charter Section 4.104 and Article XI – "Amendment of Bylaws" of the Bylaws of the San Francisco Commission on the Environment ("Commission") which requires circulation of proposed amendments in writing to all Commissioners and noticed to the public at least ten (10) days prior to Commission approval. The Commission proposes to amend Bylaws Article IV – Officers, Section 3 A: Nomination and Election of Officers as follows:

Article IV - Officers

 
Section 3:  Nomination and Election of Officers
 
A.        Elections for officers shall be conducted at the regular meeting of the Commission in January of each year.  At the regular Commission meeting held in November of each year, any Commissioner interested in running for office shall state publicly his or her interest and willingness to run for a specific office.  Such Commissioners, and any other Commissioners nominated at the November meeting, shall be candidates for office.
 

A.        Nominations and elections for the officers of the Commission shall be conducted at the regular meeting of the Commission in January of each year, or as soon thereafter as practicable.
