A quorum of appointed task force members was present at the meeting.
In addition, there were attendees representing Real Estate Division, Capital Planning and DPW/SFGH.
Agenda Items:
1. Minutes: Task Force Meeting Minutes of May 11, 2011 were approved as written.
2. Announcements: Mark Palmer announced that the California academy of Sciences has achieved its second LEED Platinum certification: LEED for Existing buildings Operations and Maintenance.
3. Policy Development:
- Final changes to Env Code Chapter 7 were reviewed before the first hearing at the Land Use Committee on 9/19.
- The Task Force discussed Departmental representation on the Task Force. Gary Hoy and Laura Lombardi are rolling off as Task Force members. Their valuable contributions to the Task Force and San Francisco’s green building efforts are very much appreciated. Tara Lamont will be representing DPW’s Building Design and Construction Division and May Chan will be representing DPW’s Infrastructure Design and Construction Division.
- The Task Force began consideration of regulations to be adopted per Environment Code Chapter 7.
- The Task began consideration of amending the Task Force bylaws.
4. Greenbuild 2012: A coordinated effort in underway to generate quality educational submission abstracts for Greenbuild 2012 to be held in San Francisco Nov 13-16, 2012. Deadline for submissions is January 13, 2012.
5. LEED AP w/ Specialty credential maintenance was discussed.
